Privacy Policy

OLMA ("the app") helps you check whether a price is fair by scanning products and price tags with your camera. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.

Photos you scan

When you scan a product or price tag, the photo is sent to our backend and processed using Google's Gemini AI model, combined with a live web search, to identify the product and compare prices. Photos are processed to generate your result and are not used to train AI models, sold, or shared with advertisers. Don't include anything in a scan you wouldn't want processed — the camera frame is all we receive.

Location

Location access is optional. If you grant it, your location is used only to determine the country you're currently shopping in, so prices can be compared against the right local market. We don't store a history of where you've been, and you can use the app without location access by setting your market manually.

Your scan library

Your saved scans and decisions are stored locally on your device. Interests you pick during onboarding (used to sharpen product recognition) also stay on your device.

Price result caching

To make analysis faster, price results for a given product and market may be cached on our servers. Cached results describe products and prices — they contain no personal information and are not linked to you.

No accounts

The app does not require an account. Requests to our backend are authorized with an app-level key, not a personal identity — we don't collect your name, email, or Apple ID.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We receive a transaction identifier and expiration date from Apple to confirm your subscription status — we never see your payment information.

What we don't do

• We don't show ads.
• We don't sell data to third parties.
• We don't require you to create an account.
• We don't track your movements.

Data deletion

Deleting the app removes your scan library and settings from your device. Scan photos are processed transiently to produce your result and are not kept as a personal record. If you have questions about cached price data, contact us at the email below.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
